Dentures

Dentures are used to replace missing teeth. There are many possible reasons why you may lose a tooth or a number of teeth - many people lose teeth when they get older but you may also lose teeth as a result of an injury, accident, infection or severe decay.

Dentures can be used to replace either a small or large number of teeth. Partial dentures are used to replace a small number of teeth, while complete dentures are used to replace a complete set of missing teeth.

Modern dentures

Many people imagine bulky, ugly sets of false teeth when they think of dentures but this is no longer the case. Dentures are now more comfortable, discreet and lighter than ever before and they function in exactly the same way as natural teeth. If you have a number of missing teeth, we can restore your smile with natural looking dentures. The dentures look like natural teeth and you will not have to worry about them coming loose or affecting the way you speak or the foods you eat.

Dentures are custom-made to fit the contours of your gums. It is important that your dentures fit properly so that they function effectively without causing you any discomfort or pain. We will create an impression of your teeth, which will be used as a template for your new dentures. Once the dentures have been manufactured we will check the fit to ensure that they are comfortable for you.

The Turbyfill Denture

Dentures definitely provide a great smile with a very natural appearance, but they also create a host of problems. Such problems include speech difficulty and bone deterioration. There is however an alternative available and it's called Turbyfill Dentures.

Developed by Dr. Jack Turbyfill, a world-renowned expert on dentures, Turbyfill dentures are prosthodontic dentures specially created to balance a patient's occlusion and aesthetics and accommodate the loss of bone and gum tissue. Turbyfill Dentures captures a copy of a person's mouth while they are eating, chewing, and speaking with great accuracy. This makes them amazingly comfortable and enhances the patient's facial appearance. Moreover, the all-porcelain artificial teeth are more attractive and durable than traditional plastic materials.

While common dentures can be aesthetically pleasing, it is not unusual to experience minor irritation or soreness and temporarily increase in saliva flow. Poor fitting dentures can cause sore spots in your mouth as well as stomach problems from not being able to chew food properly. With Turbyfill dentures, bone deterioration, speech difficulties, shrinkage, eating favorite foods, loose fitting, even that noisy clicking sound all becomes a non-issue.

For denture wearers who have experienced bone and/or tissue degeneration with other types of dentures, Turbyfill is the answer. Many of these problems associated with common dentures are so well controlled with Turbyfill that they tend to not exist.

The placement process begins with custom-positioning the artificial teeth for optimal aesthetics and function. Then, patients wear training dentures that mimic the look and feel of the final dentures. When the patient is comfortable with the look and feel of their training dentures, the patient will return to our office to have their final Turbyfill dentures placed. The cosmetic options available with the truly classic Turbyfill denture are almost infinite.
